Spectrum Studios Foundation helps put instruments into the hands of kids while supporting music education and raising awareness of music’s positive impact on mental health. Serving St. Clair County and Northern Macomb County, Michigan, we believe a family’s finances shouldn’t decide whether a child gets the chance to make music.

An instrument can be the beginning of something much bigger: confidence, connection, a creative outlet, or a place to belong. Through donated instruments, repair support, and community partnerships, we work to remove barriers so more young people can discover what music means to them.

Founded by Erin Miracle in honor of her father, musician Steven Edward Turner, Spectrum carries forward a love of music and the people it brings together. That spirit lives in our mission: giving instruments another chapter while helping the next generation find its own sound.

We’re building this one instrument, one relationship, and one opportunity at a time. Whether you donate, volunteer, partner with us, or simply spread the word, you help make that next opportunity possible.

Because every instrument has a story, and a child could be its next chapter. 🌈

What we do:

1. Instrument accessibility: collect new or gently used instruments and get them to students who need them.

2. Next: events and concerts, then the "Illuminate" student-headliner concert series.

Donate an instrument:

That guitar in the closet. The trumpet from marching band. The keyboard nobody plays anymore. Any one of them could become the instrument that makes a kid fall in love with music.  If a student changes their mind about an instrument, they donate it back so it can help the next student.
